Facilities Project Manager (Construction & Design -WM Corporate Center)

(Full-Time Day)

The Facilities Project Manager provides day to day management and oversight of assigned capital improvement projects throughout the organization. Manages and facilitates functional programming, facilities design and construction of capital projects utilizing skills to direct and control human, physical and fiscal resources.  Responsible for the coordination and supervision of external consultants and contractors engaged to build, renovate or modernize existing facilities; installation of medical and non-medical equipment and meets with affected departments in the development and review of project plans, budgets and schedules. Accountable for the execution of assigned projects within budgetary and schedule constraints. Assists the vice president and director in the formulation and execution of annualized and multi-year capital programs. Develops and designs feasibility studies for review.

Qualifications:

  •  3 Years Related Position Experience Required - With 2 Years Healthcare or Construction Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Architecture or Interior Design or Engineering or Construction Management or Related Field Required - Or Equivalent Experience

Work Schedule:

  • Hours of work: 8am-5pm
  • Weekend requirements: No Weekends
  • ·         Call Requirements: As needed

SUPERVISOR, SKILLED TRADES-PLANT ENGINEERING

Reporting to the director of plant engineering, the professional we select for this important role will provide direct leadership, oversight, scheduling, job assignment, quality monitoring, personnel management, and technical support for our skilled-trades team. This individual will oversee engagement with and work by external contractors in the skilled trades, including licensed electricians and plumbers, licensed/certified HVAC technicians, certified medical gas inspectors, certified fire sprinkler inspectors/service technicians, and/or certified plant/boiler operators. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and compliant inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and modernization of critical building systems.
  • Participating in master campus and facility planning to support strategic physical plant development.

Required Credentials:

  • Associate of Applied Science degree in an engineering-related field, including but not limited to HVAC systems/technologies, electrical technology, engineering studies, building systems engineering, energy-management technologies, or other related technical fields.
  • Licensure and/or certification in a related field or other recognized skilled trade credential, preferably through the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), or the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
  • One or more years of experience in one or more of the skilled trades described above.
  • Supervisory experience.

 The Manager, Facilities Operations provides direct leadership and is accountable for the overall administrative, operational, financial and technical plant engineering and operational activities for plant operations, maintenance and grounds function at the assigned facility(s). Ensures reliable and efficient operation of central utility plant services; develops, directs and ensures completion of building, grounds and equipment maintenance and repairs; initiates and directs renovation and capital improvement projects as required; serves as a liaison with other departments in support of capital improvements within their responsible areas.  Develops and manages the operating expenses, budget, staffing and capital equipment/improvements.

Safety and Emergency Management Director

We are seeking a Safety and Emergency Management Director to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate safety and EM programs and policies in accordance with TJC, OSHA and local/state/federal requirements. This role also serves as Bioterrorism rep/coordinator, preparing, coordinating and maintaining contingency plans as required, and conducts safety education for new employee orientation and ongoing employee safety programs/classes.

 

Qualifications:

  • ·       Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Emergency Management or related field; Master’s preferred

  • ·       Four years of experience in safety and emergency management in a health care environment; at least one year in a leadership role preferred

  • ·       Knowledge base to join North Carolina Healthcare Engineering Association within one year of hire

  • ·       Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
